Is America mentioned in prophecy? In Biblical Prophecy?
This is the predominant question when discussing prophecy with many folks. They want to know what is America's fate, and is it spelled out in the Bible? What is the answer?
Many folks have mistakenly decided that America, that is the "United States of America" is actually the fourth beast mentioned in Daniel, and in Revelation. This is not so, except by analogy. The Bible is quite clear when it comes to naming the nations involved in what is called "end time prophecy". And, in that category, America is not mentioned. However, characteristics of peoples who will be punished for disobedience to the Creator and His Laws are given. It is here that we find America described. And, in fact, all nations. So, whoever you are, those characteristics can be applied to your own country.
But, for now, what about America? Will she fall, as some so vehemently claim? Or, to be more specific, will she fall as the beast of Revelation 18, as some are claiming? The answer is yes, she will fall, but not as that beast. That beast is a Middle East prophecy, not an American prophecy.
Actually, to be more specific, America will DECLINE into a second world country, perhaps in some parts, even into a third world country. And, that decline has already started. It began on the Ides of March of this year, 2006. On that date America reached her peak. The climb to the top of the mountain is over, so to speak. The top is now reached. What that means now is this. From here on out, America IS, not will be, but IS in her decline. Her day as the number one superpower on planet earth is over. You know of course, that coming downhill is much faster than climbing up hill.
Along with that, these next two elections in America, are the "pivot point" of America's political descent. The folks the Father will place in office will be the ones necessary to accelerate the descent from the top of the mountain.
Having said that, let me give you a quote, that in many ways, most will accept in America today. It is obvious from American practice that the ideas in the quote are becoming the main operative conscience of the American peoples. Certainly, on an individual basis one might find objection to the following, but not in the mass psyche.
"It is thus necessary that the individual should finally come to realize that his own ego is of no importance in comparison with the existence of his nation; that the position of the individual ego is conditioned solely by the interests of the nation as a whole; that pride and conceitedness; the feeling that the individual... is superior, so far from being merely laughable, involve great dangers for the existence of the community that is a nation; that above all the unity of a nation's spirit and will are worth far more than the freedom of the spirit and will of an individual; and that the higher interests involved in the life of the whole must here set the limits and lay down the duties of the interests of the individual."
The above speaks so loudly to the practice of American government today from the highest federal level to the local city level. We are experiencing this today in Tucson, as an example, with the recent issuing of NOVs, i.e. Notice of Violations, to whole blocks of people at a time without warning or real recourse. And, you, where ever you live, either have experienced the same thing, or will soon enough.
Now, what is your reaction to the above statement? Do you agree with it? Or, do you think the individual is more important in the scheme of things?
For, it is in the individual character of its citizens that causes a nation to rise or fall. When that character through "tolerance" and "inaction" prefers the above description, then the nation becomes a Nazi nation, as America is becoming. No, not Nazis in the sense of "taking over the world" and proclaiming a 1,000 year reign. It becomes a Nazi nation against its own citizens. And, thus, its power begins an inevitable decline, in the same way Nazi Germany declined. Although, in the case of Germany, other nations went to war with her. But, since America is not going to become a Nazi expansionist nation, the nations will resist her in another way. International support will continually decline until America becomes a paria among the nations of the world. This is what is now happening to America. She has lost the citizens and individuals with a "Boston Tea Party" character and psyche, to become a Nazi minded people. That is, weak and submissive, and more interested in being left alone than in resisting the injustices of the governments over them.
As the Middle East rises in economic power, influence and importance, America will decline into a minimum of second place in the world, if not further.
A submissive people are a weak people, and as Rome and other nations have done in the past, America is now doing today. She finally has started the inevitable fall from power and as of these next two elections, 2006 and 2008, is now going down hill. From this point on, that snowball ride downhill will speed up faster than you or I would like. Besides, for all things prophetic to happen in the next 26-30 years, it MUST be fast.
