BEIRUT: The US Department of Commerce (USDC) said in a report that the 2006 war with Israel and the subsequent political instability have led to a slowdown in investments.
"The challenges that could hinder doing business in Lebanon are topped by the July 2006 war and the subsequent political instability, which had a negative impact on economic growth, and as a result led to a slowdown in investments," the US Department of Commerce said in its 2008 Country Commercial Guide for Lebanon (CCG).
