HISTORY that REPEATS--That's PROPHECY in ACTION!

"Granny, what were you doing?"
Granny: "I was just praying Johnny."
Johnny: "Why?"
Granny: "Because I need and get answers to my prayers."
Johnny: "Granny, in school they told us that answered prayer was only coincidence."
Granny: "I know that's what they say Johnny. But, funny thing, when I stop praying the coincidences stop happening."

"Coincidences" are an easy out for the non-believer. It answers all their doubts. "It's just coincidence", that's all. But, is it?

History is a funny thing. It repeats. When it does, it is called prophecy in the Scriptures. Not only that, we are told in Scripture to watch for these repeats. When we do, we can "foretell" the future before it happens. It is as easy as falling off a log. Yet, the skeptic argues that this is only "coincidence" and nothing more. Well, one thing more, prophecy isn't real, they say, so we don't even have to worry about a "coincidence".

Let's look at some history for a moment and see whether there is a coincidence in process here.

Ancient Israel was under TWO seventy years periods of destruction, hardship, and "indignation." She came under the domination of the ancient Babylonian Empire, for one. Not only that, the second seventy years put ancient Israel through a period called "INDIGNATION." These two periods overlapped. Now, it just so happened that the first seventy year period began eighteen years before the second period.

There is actually a lot of information in the above chart, IF you know what to look for. But, for now, look at each year and see what the event was for that year. For example, notice 605. What does it say? It says, "BEGINNING of Babylonian World Power." Now, look at 587. "The FALL of Jerusalem." The fall of Jerusalem, was in essence, the fall of the government of Israel. And, also notice that in the same year the temple was destroyed, then rebuilt in 516.

What does this mean for us today? Or, does it mean anything? And, if it does have a meaning for us today, can we use the same old excuse, "It's just a coincidence"? Let's see.

Since history is to repeat because that is what prophecy is, then what can we learn from the above chart? Start with the year 587. On the top line, or first seventy year period it says the FALL of Jerusalem.

Note this carefully first, before we continue. The Scriptures show that prophecy is also based on OPPOSITES. And, sometimes it is not based on opposites. For, instance, if we look at 539 where it says FALL of Babylon, what would the opposite of that be? With that in mind, let's continue with 587.

Let's begin now with the bottom line, or second seventy year period. This is the period of "indignation". IF this is to repeat in modern days, when would we begin. In other words, what year would we use to start this end period. The simple answer is, 1948. Why? Because, that is when the indignation against modern Israel began. And, that is also the year when Israel was restored as a nation. You cannot bring about seventy years of indignation on a nation that does not exist. So, what happened in 1948? First, Israel was restored as a nation. Thus, the indignation could begin its repeat.

Second, the Arab world began a war against Israel that is, in essence, still continuing to this day. This day being February 10, 2008. Here is what history says about that year, from The Encyclopedia of World History, compiled and edited by William L. Langer.

Let's begin with December of 1947. "Dec. 17. The Arab League Council announced it would stop the proposed division of the Holy Land by use of force." p. 1207.

Then, a few lines down we have this: "1948, May-1949, July. WAR BETWEEN ISRAEL AND THE ARAB LEAGUE." ibid.

And, all of you know the "war" or time of "indignation" is still going on. Now, notice this: In order to make this post short, I'm going to cut to the chase. Discussions and questions can be brought up on the PRN forum. OK, notice. Seventy years from 1948 brings us to 2018. Remember that year? Look at what the chart shows above. Temple Rebuilt. Thus, will it be a "coincidence" if the Temple is started, or completed and standing by the end of that year? We'll see won't we, since that is now, ten years ahead of us. Here is what Zechariah says about this second seventy years in our day.

"Then the angel of YHWH answered and said, O YHWH of hosts, how long wilt thou not have mercy on Jerusalem and on the cities of Judah, against which thou hast had INDIGNATION  these THREESCORE and TEN years? [70]... Therefore thus saith YHWH I am RETURNED to Jerusalem with mercies: MY HOUSE [the Temple] shall be built in it, saith YHWH of hosts, and a line shall be stretched forth upon Jerusalem." Zech. 1:12-16. Please read the whole thing yourselves.

So, what we see here is the Temple being rebuilt by the end of the seventy year period of "indignation", seemingly around 2018. The interesting thing is, IF this is correct, it certainly is the right timing for the world scene right now. That is right in the middle of the fourteen year cycle right before the last seven years begin.

WHAT ABOUT THE FIRST SEVENTY YEARS?

That's right, we don't want to forget them. How accurate do you suppose the Bible really is when it comes to prophecy? Do you think it can be at least right to the year, much less the month, week or day? Let's see.

If then, we can equate 587 from the past with 1948 from the present, then we can put dates on the top line of the chart. 587 equating to 1948 gives us the year 1930 for the beginning year of the modern day fulfillment of these 70 years. What happened in 1930 to begin prophetic events against the "Jews"? Let's see.

First, take another look at the chart and see what happened in 605. It was a BEGINNING of something, right? What, in modern times, began in 1930 that would equate to the same thing? Well..... I'm glad you asked.

Again, from the same encyclopedia mentioned above. "1930, Sept. 14. Reichstag elections. Emergence of Hitler's National Socialists as a major party (107 seats as against their previous 12.)... Hitler's program was opposed to all provisions of the Versailles Treaty, and especially to reparations. The election ushered in a period of disorder, with numerous clashes between National Socialist (Nazi) and Communist bands." p. 999.

And, just as in ancient history, just 18 years later we have Israel on the scene again, beginning over again with her "Judges", today called Prime Ministers.

What's the lesson? Simple. The Bible is True. Prophecy is real and just a repeat of history brought about by a REAL Creator who is a Spirit Being of unbelievable power. Only He can bring about such accuracy!
