SIX BILLION on line simultaneously....

How in the world can six billion people pray at the same time and still be heard individually? It just boggles the mind!

Is such a thing really possible? Those in the "know" say no. Of course, with that attitude how can they expect answers to their requests? They can't. Remember the old saying that you "get what you expect"?

I remember this story that aludes to the answer. An elderly grandmother was praying at an open window one day. She had no bread for her family, and was asking in her prayer for bread. Outside were some teenagers who happened to be close enough to the house to hear her prayer. So, they ran off to the store, bought bread, and ran back before the grandmother had finished her prayer. Hiding themselves they threw the bread through her window. From inside they heard her thanking the "Father" for the miracle of the bread. Then, just at that moment they jumped up and laughed at her and said it wasn't a miracle at all, they did it. Her reply?

"Well, even if Satan delivered it, the Father sent it".

Another one is this. A grandmother was explaining why she prayed to her college age grandson. And, she explained how she kept getting answers to her prayers. His response was typical. "Ah granny, those are just coincidences." Her response?

"Well, the funny thing is, when I stop praying the coincidences stop happening."

Now, just imagine over six billion people praying at the same time, is it possible to believe they all could be heard at the same time? Well, for the skeptic no answer satisfies them for they are skeptical by mental habit. They aren't capable of thinking outside their habits, which is not really thinking at all.

So, let's mention something they would believe that is even more impossible to the human mind, skeptic or not. Yet, the results say that this is not impossible. Harvey Diamond mentions this in his book Fit for Life, A New Beginning.

"Let's begin where we agree. Your body is made of cells. Lots of them. ONE HUNDRED TRILLION of them. (That's a one with fourteen zeros!)..."

Think of that compared to a measly SIX BILLION! Here is six billion in numbers: 6000000000. Now, here is one hundred trillion: 10000000000000000.

So, what's the point? Here it is:

"In my opinion, the most astounding fact in all of the universe is that every last one of these hundred trillion cells is constantly sending messages to the brain asking for instructions, as it were, and remarkably, the brain receives and answers each and every message. The trillions of messages are sent up and back twenty-four hours a day, ceaselessly, and the myriad functions of the body are performed with pinpoint perfection, all simultaneously!

"Each cell is like a soldier in the army awaiting orders. Every activity no matter how minuscule, is performed under the direction and supervision of the brain. The process is orderly and predictable. No cell ever does anything unilaterally."

Point: So, if the human brain can do that with 100 TRILLION, then it's a piece of cake for a Supreme Being to handle a measly 6 BILLION.
