The SEVEN Reasons for Prophecy...

I., II., III., IV., V., VI., VII.

Ask YOURSELF this question, IF you are interested in prophecy.

"Why in the world do we need any prophecy?"

Do you really know? Probably not. In fact, there are so many people who "believe" the Bible who say that we don't need to know prophecy, that one wonders if they actually read the Book. What about you, do you read it? Do you understand it? Or, do you just kid yourself, and others, that you know it? For, if you really knew it, you would understand what prophecy is, when it was first planned, WHY it exists, and WHETHER or not we are supposed to understand it.

The majority of people do not understand prophecy. Even those preachers and teachers who claim to be Bible prophecy experts, or in too many cases, actually claim to be given "a word of prophecy". When I say majority of people, I mean 99.9999999 999999999999999999999999999999999 % of all people on this planet. The rest just pretend that they understand it.

Now, let's get to the crux of the matter right up front. Are we, IF we are true disciples of the Messiah of the New Testament, to know what the future holds? In other words, are we to KNOW what is to COME? That's prophecy, right? To know what is coming before it happens? You do agree with that much don't you? Well, if you do, then you need to examine this statement VERY CAREFULLY and CLOSELY, for everything you've ever been taught about "we don't need to know, or can't know what's coming" is destroyed in this one statement. And, it comes out of the mouth of the Greatest Bible Prophet, or any prophet for that matter who ever lived! Here it is:

"However, whenever that One comes, the Spirit of the truth, He will lead you into all the truth, for He will not speak from himself as a source, but as many things as He hears He will speak, and the THINGS THAT ARE COMING He will MAKE KNOWN to you." John 16:12, Expanded Translation, Wuest.

I don't know about you, but I prefer to believe that statement than all the statements by all the humans on planet earth who would disagree with it. How about you?

Now, let's get on to the SEVEN points. Shall we begin with number one first?

Remember now, when something is told to you BEFORE it happens, that is prophecy, right? Well, here then is the FIRST of the SEVEN reasons for prophecy.

"I tell you this now BEFORE it happens, SO THAT when it does happen YOU will..."

Will what? For here is the FIRST reason! Read it carefully and thoughtfully friends, for without prophecy the world cannot and will not do this...

"I tell you this now BEFORE it happens, SO THAT when it does happen YOU will BELIEVE that I AM WHO I AM." John 13:19. TEV

There it is, reason number one. Only the TRUE Son, and His Father can give REAL prophecy and cause it to come to pass. This is how THEY prove to mankind that they, and only they exist. No man, no spirit, no idol, or anything else can bring about prophecy. Therefore, when you see prophecy accurately explained and fulfilled, you can KNOW without question that the Messiah is the Messiah!

Prophecy is more important than you may think or understand at this point in time, friends, but you will see clearly how important in the days, weeks, months and few years ahead.
