SEVEN REAL REASONS for PROPHECY.

There are SEVEN real reasons for prophecy given by the greatest prophet of all time. But, there is an EIGHTH reason that is the foundation as to the WHY explained in the first SEVEN. And, in the simplest form possible, here is that FOUNDATIONAL, all-important Supreme Ultimate reason:

"and ye shall know that I am YAHWEH."

There is no other Creator. There is no other named "deity". He is not called by a zillon other names. There is only ONE, and He tells us that the whole history of mankind and its future is to lead to that conclusion.

"and ye shall KNOW that I am YAHWEH."

Of course, I know the majority of you won't believe this, yet it is true. And, it categorically does NOT mean that we are to come to know that He is "the Lord." That is not at all what the Hebrew says. You know it, and I know it. Now it is time to admit it. So, here's the point. ALL prophecy is being brought about to make YOU and the whole world KNOW that without a doubt HE IS YAHWEH.

The Greek word "aletheia" means "truth" in English. Plus, in Greek, as in Hebrew, the letters of the alphabet also are NUMBERS. When you total up the value of this Greek word, it comes to a total of 64.

The word Israel in Hebrew is also 64 in Hebrew, as are other important words. We'll deal with that at another time. But, I want you to understand something here. It is through Israel that the TRUTH, is to be given to the world. That is, symbolically in number, the 64 (truth) is given through the 64 (Israel). Now, with that in mind, let's consider the prophet Ezekiel.

Ezekiel was given a commission, and here it is:

"... Son of man, I send thee to the children of ISRAEL, ..." Ch. 2 v. 3.

And, what was the main continuing message that Ezekiel was to deliver to the people that were supposed to be the funnel for truth to mankind? Well, here it is, and it occurs upwards of SEVENTY times:

"... and YE shall KNOW that I am YAHWEH.", "And, THEY shall know that I am YAHWEH.", "; and THOU shalt know that I am YAHWEH:", ": and the HEATHEN shall know that I am YAHWEH,.. ", etc. etc.

How many times? It appears to be 64 times this is mentioned in Ezekiel, to Israel (64) through whom the truth (64) is supposed to flow, and through whom the NAME of the Father has been put aside. Yet, the foundation message of ALL prophecy is: "... that ye, thou, they, the heathen, etc. will/shall KNOW that I am YAHWEH", the ONLY ONE.

So, that is the real foundation upon which the greatest prophet of all time built His case of SEVEN reasons for "WHY PROPHECY?"

Beginning next post we will begin those seven reasons, that in most cases, you have probably never paid attention to before, even though many of you have read right over them.
